1. Overview & Local-First Architecture

Urban Web Scraper ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Fahad Aziz Qureshi (UrbanQode), is built with a privacy-first, client-side architecture.

When you use the Urban Web Scraper browser extension to scrape websites, all DOM analysis, parsing, and table population occur locally inside your browser process. Your scraped tabular data, CSVs, and Excel files never transit or touch our servers unless you explicitly choose to run a scrape through our cloud automation fleet.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide and license our software:

• Account Information: When you register on the Customer Portal or purchase a license, we collect your email address and generate an internal customer ID.
• License Verification Data: To enforce device activation limits (1 device for Pro, 2 devices for Pro+), the extension generates an anonymized device identifier when activating your key.
• Payment Details: Payments are processed directly through Stripe. We never store or have access to your full credit card numbers or banking credentials. Stripe handles transactions under its strict PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.

3. How We Use Your Information

Collected information is used exclusively to:

• Issue, validate, and manage your software license keys.
• Provide customer support, process refunds, and respond to inquiries.
• Send critical security notices or major version update alerts (you may opt out of non-critical messages at any time).

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or your scraping activity with third parties or data brokers.

4. Data Retention & Customer Rights

You have full control over your data. You may at any time:

• Access or update your account details in the Customer Portal at /portal.
• Unbind or reset device associations for your license key.
• Request complete deletion of your account and associated records by emailing support@urbanqode.com.
